and welcome to my online career history. You can view my past scrum, coaching, consultant, creative, training and development work and learn a little about who I am through this website.
My goal is to work in a challenging, fast-paced and life-enriching environment with ample room for creative thinking and help the scrum teams get organized and be successful within their company.
Throughout my career, I have worked on the Agile framework for project management and was the Scrum Master for each company I’ve worked for. At times I was not only the Coach or Scrum Master but the Product Owner as well. I value my role in an organization and aspire to help others interested in becoming Agile. I am active in various professional organizations and continuously look for software and methods to improve the Scrum process.
The Scrum approach to agile software development marks a dramatic departure from waterfall management. Scrum and other agile methods were inspired by its shortcomings. Scrum emphasizes collaboration, functioning software, team self management, and the flexibility to adapt to emerging business realities.

From October 2017 to January 2020 I worked with BP Petroleum and BPX Energy clients. I had the opportunity to train the UDBSL DBaaS, Engineering and ARROW teams. Our training consisted of Agile 101, user story workshops, splitting user stories and Kanban Training 101. For those two years I coached, mentored and trained eleven teams. Both projects were exciting! BP teams were implementing Scrum for AWS and Azure Microsoft Cloud work. For the ARROW team we were building an innovative project with Drones flying over oil wells in the Texas Panhandle.
As an Agile DevOps Coach our team’s business goal was to develop a central information source housing an intelligent, dynamic priority system with automatic deferral coding, work assignments and routing for optimum allocation of daily effort. We created a support team using Kanban so they can pull and push their work on bugs, issues and incidents. The other four teams implemented Scrum where we estimated and planned our work in two week sprints.
I had an inspiring opportunity to work with five squads who were teams that were building database as Service products in Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure. I enjoyed coaching the global unified database services organisation that provided end-to-end delivery of database products, engineering, and operations for BP Group. Building DBaaS products and services in Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS and On Premise. I stepped in this role right after Hurricane Harvey. Many of my coworkers in leadership and team members were dealing with flood waters and destroyed homes.
I enjoyed being an Agile Team coach and being part of a large Agile Transformation. Anthem has been recognised as One of The Top 100 Agile Companies. "I was very pleased to see them become recognised for their IT agility," after I trained, mentored and coached 17 teams. I followed our Quantitative-Qualitative Lean-Agility Coach Maturity Activation for the guide to get teams to activated and incubation stages. "The healthcare industry is going through dynamic change that requires us to be more agile and responsive," said Tom Miller, senior vice president and chief information officer, Anthem, Inc.
