Agile Lego Training incorporates the following popular agile coaching techniques: user story mapping. magic estimates. overall backlog refinement with multiple teams. joint multi-team scrum meetings. continuous integration and deployment. and more little tips and tricks to make the simulation valuable and fun.
My goal as an Agile Coach is to make sure the teams practice Scrum by building “products” with LEGO bricks. Now the tricky question is how to combine the two roles: a Product Owner (who is not owning the process) and a class trainer (who has an interest in running it with Scrum) as the mayor of the city.
It’s fun and it gets your team members out of their seats and interacting and building the city together. The Data Management and Shared Services team members had four teams in the room and they were able to build an entire city together. This is the largest Agile Lego Simulation that I have done with teams, it was an enriching experience.
